About Us

Every refinement process creates valuable outcomes, ensuring that we do not waste nature's sacred creations. Nobletimber brings you products crafted from rare and precious wood. Hidden for centuries beneath the waters of Central American lakes, underwater wood possesses unique features that are nearly impossible to find elsewhere in the world.

WHAT INSPIRED US

For generations, our people have had the practice of soaking wood in water before using it for construction. The water strengthens the wood and helps prevent termite infestations. Typically, this process only lasts a few days to strip off the outer bark.

But what happens when this process spans hundreds of years? Wood transforms into a treasure. Underwater wood can be found in the canals of Central America, where forests were once cleared to create rivers that now serve as transportation routes. Logging in these areas led to rare trees being submerged in water, and over time, they have turned into unique types of wood.

WHAT MAKE NOBLETIMBER SPECIAL

Underwater wood is notably more durable than normal wood. Water pushes the sap out of the wood, making it denser. Additionally, the low light and oxygen levels in a water-immersed environment prevent the growth of fungi, turning the water into a natural preservative for the wood.

Why do we call this underwater wood a unique creation? Because it is shaped by the hands of Mother Nature with sand, wind, water, and minerals. Underwater wood is naturally stained by the minerals found in the mud. Common colors like blue, green, or gray are a result of time’s craftsmanship.

WHAT IS OUR PROCESS LIKE

We have spent over two years collecting various types of underwater wood from different countries. Each log takes from 6 months to 2 years to dry naturally. After harvesting, we allow the wood to dry before transporting it to our workshop for crafting.

Depending on the product and type of wood, the crafting process can take from 1 to 3 months. Harvesting underwater wood also helps reduce pressure on natural forests, conserving Earth’s precious resources.

NOBLETIMBER MISSION
